The BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Basic Life Support (BLS) Course Options
  • Classroom BLS
The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.
  • Blended Learning HeartCode® BLS
HeartCode BLS is the blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session. Course Completion Card BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years.

The ACLS Instructor-led course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

HeartCode ACLS uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to ACLS mastery. The PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) Course has been updated to reflect science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. In this classroom-based, Instructor-led course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency situation. Who should take this course? The PEARS Course is designed for healthcare providers and others who might encounter pediatric emergency situations during their work, including:
  • Physicians and nurses not specializing in pediatrics
